Lois Stratton

Maggie Valley NC, Lois M. Stratton, age 69, of 4898 Soco Road, died on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late William and Ina Cash Woodlief. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald, who died in 1980 and one brother, Robert Woodlief, who died in 2008. Lois was Co-Owner of Rocky Waters Motel in Maggie Valley. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Tom Stratton; a son, Jim Stratton, of Maggie Valley; one sister, Alice Chariott of Norwalk, CT; two brothers, William Woodlief, of Maggie Valley and Louis Woodlief, and his wife, Madeline, of Davie, FL; sister-in-law Jan Woodlief; two grandchildren, Cory Stratton, of Maggie Valley and Jessica Bradley, and her husband, Jeff, of Cherokee, NC; one great granddaughter, Kylie Michelle Bradley and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Burial will be held at St. Johns Cemetery in Norwalk, CT at a later date.
