Lois Smith

"1934 – 2016" Canton – Lois Worley Smith, age 81, formerly of the North Hominy Community, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 in Gainesville, Georgia. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late William and Lissie Parham Worley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Smith, who died in 2007; a daughter, Linda Moore; and one brother Lane Worley. She is survived by a son, Roger Dale Smith and wife, Susan, of Murrayville, Georgia; one sister, Lorene Worley Edwards of Canton; four grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. Lois was a homemaker and a member of Rocky Face Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2016 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Keith Clark and Reverend Donnie Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Newfound Road. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
