Lisa Raxter

Sylva – Lisa Gaye Baldwin Raxter, 57, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at her residence.

Lisa was a native of Haywood County and a daughter of Bobby Ray Baldwin and Helen Charlotte Gibson Baldwin.  She was a hardworking mother and grandmother.  She loved cooking and wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored.  Lisa worked at the Chef’s Stage at Cherokee Casino for 12+ years and was a CNA for 19 years.  She will always be remembered for how very festive and active she was during the holidays.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters, Kendra Elizabeth Raxter and Ashley Marie Wilson and her husband, Colby Michael Wilson; four grandchildren, Devon Ray Raxter Wilson, Natalie Grace Wilson, Olivia Faith Wilson, and Peyton Elijah Wilson; and several cousins.

At Lisa’s request, no services will be held.

The care of Mrs. Raxter has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
