Lionel Edwards

Marshall – Lionel Calvin Edwards, 71, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals.

A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Calvin Lionel and JoNeil Scott Edwards.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Jean Edwards.  Lionel was a United States Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pat McDevitt Edwards; two sons, Heath Gordon Edwards of Guam and Forrest Paxton Edwards and his wife, Delaina, of Candler; one sister, Judy Edwards Wallin and her husband, Ronnie, of Mars Hill; and four grandchildren, Arianna, Taylor, Landon and Kyrrah Edwards.

At Lionel's request, no formal services will be held.
