Candler – Linda Morgan Taylor, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 08, 2018 at her residence.
A native of and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Farrell and Mary Ethel King Morgan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine Thompson and Carolyn Swayngim. Linda was an employee at Square D for 25 years and a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She enjoyed shopping and cooking for her family.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Cathey Taylor; two daughters, Donna Teague and husband, Chris, and Nancy Hodge and husband, Richard, all of Candler; one son, Robert Taylor and wife, Mitzi, of Candler; one sister, Doris Odom and husband, Jimmy, of Candler; two grandchildren, John Ross Seagroves and Jaclyn Hodge; four step-grandchildren, Bo Coates, Skie Hodge, Chance Hodge, and Chasiton Coates; and two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Bella Coates.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Eric Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
