Linda Snipes

Canton, Linda Higdon Snipes, 75, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Mission Hospitals - Memorial Campus.

A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of William Caswell and Helen Potts Higdon. She was a 1964 graduate of Western Carolina College. Linda was a teacher with the Haywood County Schools for 23 years and a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bill Snipes, of Canton; a daughter, Susan Smith and her husband, Todd, of Claremont, NC; two sisters, Billie Shook and her husband, Richard, of Kennesaw, Georgia and Donna Higdon of Franklin, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Spring Hill Baptist Church with Matt Rhea officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
