Linda Sheppard

Canton - Linda Gail Sheppard, 75, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Mission Hospital - Memorial Campus.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Carey and Connie Sheppard. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Cable and Donna Pack. Gail was a teacher at North Canton Elementary School and a member of Canton First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed painting, scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with her great nieces.

She is survived by a sister, Jynks S. Lanning and her husband, Richard; a brother-in-law, Estes Pack; and nieces and nephews, Brek Lanning, Tina and Scott Sloan, Dawn and Terry Kile, and Lisa and Jim Prowell.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Jodi Hopkins and Reverend Clay J. Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
