Linda Collins

"1930 – 2013" Clyde – Linda Massey Collins, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, December 03, 2013 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late, Herbert and Ollie Massey Collins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Collins; three sisters, Kathryn Cooper, Virginia Hyde, Nell Burch and their husbands. Linda retired from Dayco International and was a member of Clyde First Baptist Church where she served as librarian for many years. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Medford Family Cemetery with Amanda Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Memorials may be made to Clyde First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 356, Clyde, NC 28721 or to a charity of one's choice.
