Linda Brown

Linda Avery Brown, age 58, of Malibu Lane, died Sunday, November 11, 2007, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Abbeville, SC and the daughter of the late Wallace and Doris Simmons Avery. Linda loved playing games and working crossword puzzles in her spare time. She also had a special place in her heart for her two grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 39 years, Noble Brown, she is survived by two daughters, Doris Stamey and her husband, Martin, of Waynesville and Vickie Brown of Waynesville; a son, Noble Brown, Jr., of Waynesville; three sisters, Mary Ledford and her husband, Terry, of Waynesville, Connie Roberts and her husband, Lester, of Canton, and Shirley Franklin and her husband, Roy, of Hartford, MI; two brothers Robert and Thomas Avery both of Hartford, MI; two granddaughters, Crystal and Nichole Stamey; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2007, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services. At other times, the family will be at the residence of her daughter, Doris Stamey in Stamey Cove.
