Lillian Young

Candler – Lillian Jane Nicholson Young, 79, passed away on Monday, April, 22, 2019 at her home.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Ada Capps Nicholson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Young, who died in 2014.  Lillian worked as a title clerk for Ken Wilson Ford for several years and retired in 2006.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra A. Young-Starkey and husband, Toby, of Candler; one son, Randall (Randy) W. Young of Asheville; a granddaughter, DeLaina A. Edwards and husband, Forest, of Candler; two grandchildren, Landon C. Edwards and Kyrrah L Edwards, both of Candler; one sister, June Lowe of Candler; one brother, Daniel Nicholson of Canton; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Pisgah View Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends afterwards at the daughter’s home at 28 Lost Creek Road in Candler.

The care of Mrs. Young has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes and an online
