Lillian Fisher Lampros, formerly of Sylva, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Isaac Fisher and Nana Lee Himes Fisher, as well as her brother, Samuel David Fisher, all of Sylva.

Mrs. Lampros was married to Kerry Doyle Lampros of Edneyville, North Carolina, from 1978 until 1982.

Lillian dedicated her career to public service. She served with the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department as a Sergeant in Communications and later with the North Carolina Highway Patrol from 1989 until her retirement in 2006. In recognition of her service, she received a Service Award and was honored with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, one of North Carolina's highest civilian honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 11:00am located at Bethel Cemetery in Canton, NC. Burial will follow.

The care of Lillian Margaret Fisher Lampros has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
