Lewis Creson

Maggie Valley – Lewis “Louie” Eugene Creson, 62, gained his wings on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at his residence surrounded by loved ones.

Louie was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a son of the late Charles Arthur and Rosie Elizabeth Edwards Creson.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a his, Jason Creson; three brothers; and one sister.  Louie was a foreman for T&K Utilities for 20 years and was a loving husband, father, and friend.  He knew Western North Carolina like the back of his hand, was very sociable, treated his workers like family and was well loved throughout the communities. Louie loved to deer hunt and go fishing.  He was the type of person who always had to keep busy, tinkering, and whitling walking sticks.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 45 years, Janice Lanning Creson; one son, Josh Creson (Heather) of Canton; a sister, Robin Creson of Franklin; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Wells Funeral Home in Canton.

The care of Mr. Creson has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
