Leslie Frank Kevish, died Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Mission Hospitals, Memorial Campus. A native of Joliet, IL, he was the son of the late William and Charlotte Chapman Kevish. He was employed with Evergreen Packaging for six years and was a member of Rescue Baptist Church. Leslie enjoyed watching basketball and football, working with electronics, and to travel. He was a United States Army and Marine veteran serving in Vietnam. He was the recipient of the Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Non-Commission Professional Development Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Army and Marine Corp, and Expert Qualification Badge on M-16 Rifle. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Genevieve "Ginny" Kevish; a stepson, David Parker of Canton; a stepdaughter, Priscilla Irvin of Waynesville; a sister, Rita McQueen; a brother, William Kevish; three step grandchildren, Shane, Sean, and Seth Irvin; and three step great-grandchildren, Celia Kelly, Zackary Irvin, and Mahilia Irvin. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2009, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Jesse Hollingsworth and the Reverend Billy Lee officiating.
