Leo Best

Waynesville, Leo John Best was born in Newport, Rhode Island, on April 22, 1936. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Matthews Best; five children, 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, a brother, Francis Thomas Best of Bristol, Rhode Island and a sister, Mary Lamalie of Stuart, Florida. A memorial service will be held for close friends and family at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Grace Episcopal Church in the Mountains with Reverend Arlene Lukas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Best's memory to MedWest-Haywood Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721 or Grace Episcopal Church in the Mountains, 394 North Haywood Street, Waynesville, NC 28786.
