Lawrence Larson

Lawrence William Larson, Jr., 68, of Miami, FL passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 in Miami.

Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Lawrence grew up in Miami, FL and was son of the late Lawrence William Larson, Sr., and Audrey Webster Larson.

A 1972 graduate of Palmetto High School, Lawrence proudly served our country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era.  He was a member of American Legion and volunteered for the American Cancer Society and American Diabetes Association where he was passionate about fundraising. Lawrence was a former athlete in Miami, where he played football and baseball and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. He managed a family business, Big Cove Campground for several years and was the owner of Scandinavian Custom Home Improvements.  He was a world traveler and a member of the Baptist family.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Larson and his wife, Mandee of Clermont, FL; sister, Laurie Larson of Atlanta, GA; brother, Lee Larson of Miami, FL; two grandchildren, Calell and Xavier Larson of Clermont, FL and numerous cousins.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler, NC.  Reverend Mike Hicks will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in Wells Chapel of Faith, 1 Chapel of Faith Drive, Candler, NC prior to the service.
