Laura Wells Isenhour

Laura Elizabeth Wells Isenhour, age 53, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at her residence.

A native of St. Petersburg, Florida, she was a daughter of the late Marion and Jessie Wells.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Francis Wells.  Laura was employed for 22 years with Cataloochee Ranch and Cataloochee Ski Area.  She loved the outdoors, enjoyed horseback riding, guiding, and wrangling.  Laura was very knowledgeable to the wildflowers in the Valley and was a "social butterfly".  She loved her favorite horse, Max and her dogs, MC and Ralph.

Laura is survived by her husband of 17 years, Ike Isenhour; three sisters; two brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Peachtree United Methodist Church, General Fund, 307 Black Camp Gap Road, Maggie Valley, NC 28751.

The care of Mrs. Isenhour has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
