Larry Allen Parrish, Sr., 77, of Edneyville went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2022 at his residence. A native of Virginia, he was son of the late Lucille Carr. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Hodge Parrish on November 14, 2005 and a great grandson, Maverick Parrish.
Larry proudly served in the US Army and lived in Asheville for most of his life. He owned and operated Parrish Bait and Tackle on Broadway Street. In his later years, he operated Parrish Tree Service.
He was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Larry Parrish, Jr. and his wife, Tammy; daughter, Teresa Parker and her husband, Warren; granddaughters, Stacy Moore (Gus Worley) and Amanda Parrish; grandson, Larry “Tubby” Parrish (Maya); great granddaughter, Katelyn Ann and Gracie Mae. He is also survived by his girlfriend of 10 years, Gayle Foster of the residence; sisters, Gloria Simmons of Anderson, SC, Candy Redding of Easley, SC, Sandra Johnson of Iva, SC and Robin Rodriguez of Greenville, SC; brothers, Dale Carr of Easley, SC, Dennis Carr of Marietta, SC and Robert Carr of Asheville, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be missed and never forgotten.
The care of Mr. Parrish has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
