Larry Mcmahan

Larry Eugene McMahan, Jr., 72. of Asheville passed away peacefully at Memorial Mission Hospital on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jeannie McMahan; daughter, Tracy McMahan Hannah; son, Gary McMahan (Bobbie); five grandchildren, Casey (Laura), Matthew (Carly), Justin Hannah (Cailin) and Timothy (Erin) and Tessa and great-grandchildren, Austin, Evan, Riley and Nixie all of whom he dearly loved.  Larry is also survived by his brothers, Eddie McMahan (Lib), David McMahan and Ernie McMahan and a sister, Linda Waycaster (Danny).

He will be forever missed.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at Wells Chapel of Faith, 1 Chapel of Faith Drive, Candler.  Reverend Rendell Hipps and Alice Letmon will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The care of Mr. McMahan has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
