Maggie Valley, NC - Larry Russell Dubuke, age 69, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his residence. He was born on April 18, 1944 in Plattsburgh, New York, son of the late Joseph and Agnes Rood Dubuke and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Kevin Dubuke. Larry's childhood was spent on the shores of Lake Champlain. He later loved spending time on his boat on Lake George, New York. He was a professional photographer and marksman and began his career in the printing industry at Coneco/Web Graphics in Glens Falls, New York. He advanced to the position of Vice President of Operations at Williamhouse-Regency, Inc. of New York City and was responsible for plant operations across the United States. After retiring from the printing industry, Larry, Vicki, and Lauren moved to Maggie Valley, North Carolina and purchased Tanglewood Motel, immediately expanding it to become Tanglewood Motel and Log Cabins, which they have operated since 1997. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Vicki Dukes Dubuke; daughters, Lauren Marie Dubuke of Asheville, North Carolina and Debbie Zelker of Ballston Spa, New York; one son, Brian Dubuke of Gansevoort, New York; two sisters, Joan (Robert) Butchino and Valerie Parrott of Plattsburgh, New York; and grandchildren, Shauna and Zachary Zelker and Malachi Dubuke. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
