Lane Turner

Waynesville-Lane Leroy Turner, age 87, died on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at Canton Christian Convalescent Center. He was the son of the late Thomas and Ida Mae Mitchel Turner and was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris Schuster Turner, who died in March 2006. He was a corporal in the US Army and served during World War II and was owner/operator of an electrical fixture store. He had many friends here in the mountains and abroad. The family will have a celebration of his life from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2006 at Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services of Waynesville.
