Kevin Davis

Waynesville, Kevin Paul Davis, age 38, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. Kevin was a native of Rockford, Illinois, and lived most of his life in Haywood County. He is the son of A.J. Everett and Nancy Lee Johnson Davis. He is preceded in death by his stepmother Judy Nell Owens Davis. Kevin was employed by HVO for 15 years and was a member of Grandview Baptist Church. Kevin loved working puzzles and especially loved fishing with his Dad. Kevin had a very special personality, and had never met a stranger he didn't love. In addition to his parents, he is survived by seven aunts; one special aunt Vaudie Davis; five uncles, and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Grandview Baptist Church with Reverend Tony Sisk and Reverend Davis Hooper officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim and Eddie Stinnett, Larry Davis, Matthew Hooper, Jimmy Tipton and Rick Mull. Burial will follow in Buchanan Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haywood Vocational Opportunities, 172 Riverbend Street, Waynesville, NC 28786.
