Kenneth Roberts, born on July 15, 1933, in Madison County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his residence on September 7, 2024.
Kenneth was a proud veteran who served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After his military service, he built a successful career as a millwright at Dayco Manufacturing, retiring in 1988. Throughout his life, Kenneth embraced a wide range of interests that reflected his adventurous spirit. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and camping, often cherishing the extensive travels he shared with his wife, Dorothy, pulling their camper across 49 states. He was also known for his warm personality and enjoyed the fellowship at Hardee's Breakfast Club, where he gathered with friends most mornings. He attended Victory Baptist Church until his health declined. Kenneth's faith was a central part of his life.
In addition to his rich experiences, Kenneth was deeply loved by his family. He is survived by his daughters, Christine Roberts and Debra R. Meadows, along with her husband, Paul, all of Clyde. Kenneth’s legacy continues through his grandchildren: Jason Cordell (Cindy) of Greer, SC; Natasha Sidwell (Ken) of Etowah, NC; and Dustin Siske (Keri) of Asheville, NC. He was a proud grandfather to seven great-grandchildren, who will carry on the values he instilled in them.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Dorothy Roberts, and his brother, Perry Roberts. He is also remembered for the profound influence he had on his family, who will forever cherish his memory.
