Kenneth “Ken” Bruce Gaddy, 63, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. He was surrounded by family as he passed peacefully into the next life while giving the gift of life. His last wish was to be an organ donor, which was granted. Ken was born November 20, 1962, in Waynesville, NC. He was a beloved Grandfather, Father, Son, Brother, and Fiancé.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Bruce Gaddy of Waynesville, NC. Ken is survived by his three children: Megan (William) Rountree and three grandchildren of Newport, NC; Wesley (Hannah) Gaddy and two grandchildren of Moncks Corner, SC; and Haley (Brandon) Kirk and two grandchildren of Ladson, SC. He also leaves behind his mother, Latisha Sharp and brother, Kirk (Kimberly) Gaddy, of Haywood County; Rochelle Byrd, beloved fiancé of Marietta, GA; her children, Jennifer and Michael Byrd and other members of the Bryd family.

His odd and unique sense of humor will always be remembered and everyone that knew Ken will always have a good laugh thinking of him.

The family will hold a remembrance of life at a later date.

The care of Mr. Gaddy is handled by Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
