Kathy Stines

Kathy Anne Stines, 59, of Candler passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at her residence. A native of Buncombe County, she was daughter of the late Frank Stuart and Barbara Cogburn Stuart of Candler.

Kathy valued higher education and her degree in medical transcription, though she pursued other fields. She enjoyed spending quality time at her home with her children and family.  She was an amazing driver and was employed with Papa John’s Pizza. Kathy enjoyed tending to her home flower garden and always strived to be a happy person.

In addition to her mother, Barbara, she is also survived by her sons, Brett Stines of Canton and Jarett Stines of Candler; four sisters, Patricia Medford and her husband, Wayne, Phyliss Cogburn and her husband, Ted, Teresa Messer and Cindy McCurry and her husband, Kevin all of Candler.  She also was survived by several beloved nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

The care of Ms. Stines has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler
