Judy Trantham

Asheville – Judith Ann “Judy” Trantham, 62, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center (JF Keever) in Asheville.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late William Arthur and Lillian King Trantham.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Minnie Reece and two brothers, David Trantham and Richard Trantham.  Judy was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church but attended Reynold Baptist Church in Ashevile

She is survived by two sisters, Hattie Liford and husband, Don, of Canton and Lois Stroupe and husband, Richard, of Asheville; and two brothers, Doyle Trantham and wife, Donna, of Hendersonville and Don Trantham and wife, Gail, of Candler.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Bobby Smith officiating.  Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.  The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Stone Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center for the love and care that was provided to Judy.
