Judy Leopard

"1944 - 2015" Waynesville, Judy Riggins Leopard, age 71, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at The Homestead. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Janie Ross Riggins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashley Lance; and a sister, Nancy Patterson. Judy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren who provided a constant sense of joy in her life. She is survived by her husband, Phillip Leopard; one daughter, Laney Lance and her husband, Tim, of Clyde; one son, Dino Leopard and his wife, Tracy, of Waynesville; one sister, Levada Mills of Winston-Salem; one brother, Gene Riggins of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; and four grandchildren, Caleb, Noah, Rhonda, and Nolan. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Eddie Deitz officiating. Burial will follow at Ratcliff Cove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.
