Judy Bryant

Clyde, Judy Teague Bryant, 72, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Ruth Duckett Teague.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Cecil Bryant who died in 2007; three sisters, Mary Ruth Smith, Beverly Smith, and Janie Elizabeth Benkert.  Judy worked as a registered nurse for many years at nursing homes, in private duty, and at Skyland Camp for Girls.  She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, adult coloring books, dogs, and cooking for everyone especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Ruth Messer, of Clyde; three sons, Aaron Bryant, and his wife, Kimberly, of Tomball, Texas, Naamon Bryant and his girlfriend, Amanda, of Clyde, and Jason Bryant, and his wife, Karrish, of Canton; one brother, Terrell Teague, of Six Mile, South Carolina; three brothers-in-law, Doyle Smith, Earl Smith, and George Benkert; twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2019 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Donnie Henson officiating.  Burial will follow at Crawford-Ray Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

The care of Mrs. Bryant has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
