Judith Holcombe

Judith Holcombe, 86, of Candler passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Laurels of Green Tree Ridge. A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Glen Clarence and Sadie Gwendolyn Warren Wilson. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Roger Zebb Holcombe in 1955; her second husband, Alvin Holcombe in 1996; sister, Carolyn Orlowski and two brothers, Jimmy Wilson and Calvin Wilson.

Judith was employed as a machine operator for 12 years with BASF plant.  She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and also outings with the PACE program.  She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra Holcombe of Arden; son, Glen Richard Green and his wife, Janet of Mills River; two sisters, Patricia Trimnal  and Cynthia Parton both of Candler; two brothers, Tom Wilson  of Candler and Bobby Wilson and his wife, Rachel of Canton; four grandchildren, Brian Weatherman and his wife, Brenda, Chris Weatherman and his wife, Jodi, Sarah Sawyer and her husband, Brandon and Hannah Cantrell and her husband, Mitchell; nine great-grandchildren, Trent (Sabrina) and Tanner (Kyra), Madison (Reid), Kayley, Victoria, Sebastian, Julius, Avalyn and Lauren; great-great grandchildren, Gavin, Asher and Elias and special friend, Patsy Davidson.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023 in the Wells Chapel of Faith. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Chapel one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

The care of Mrs. Holcombe has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
