Juanita Luna Leal Garcia, 77, of Asheville, North Carolina, passed away to be home with her Lord on June 1, 2026, at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on June 14, 1948, in Cameron, Texas, Juanita was the daughter of the late Ramon Leal and Clementina Luna Leal. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mario C. Garcia, who passed away on February 5, 2021; her brother, Edward Leal; and her sister, Guadalupe Leal.
Juanita dedicated more than 15 years of service as a Flavor Technician with Quaker Oats. She was a woman of strong faith who loved reading her Bible and found great joy in cooking for those she loved. Full of life and energy, Juanita enjoyed dancing to music, spending time with family, and traveling back and forth to Houston, Texas, to visit loved ones and remain connected to her roots.
She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory, including her daughters, Leticia Reyes (Rafael) of Houston, Texas, Maribel Hayes (Daniel) of Horseshoe, North Carolina, and Elizabeth Garcia of Penrose, North Carolina; her sons, Ricardo Garcia of Fletcher, North Carolina, Mario Garcia, Jr. of Candler, North Carolina, and Ezequiel Garcia of Canton, North Carolina; her brothers, Hector Leal of Homestead, Florida, and Guillermo Leal of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, along with numerous extended family members and friends.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the Chapel of Faith located at 1 Chapel of Faith Dr. Candler, NC 28715. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
