Joyce Medford

Clyde-Joyce Alexander Medford, age 64, of 88 Melodie Street, died Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at her residence.

A native of Trenton, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late William G. and Melvena Burroughs Alexander. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Medford who died in 1993. She was a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution and a member of Clyde Central United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Melodie Wright of Candler and Lorralie Rhinehart and her husband, Billy Joe, of Canton; a son, Nicholas Alexander Medford, of Clyde; three stepsisters, Vivian Sutton, of Rutherfordton, and Joy Sellers and Eva Jarrett, both of Asheville; one stepbrother, Bob Smith, of Asheville; and four grandchildren.

A private graveside services were held.
