"Loving Son, Brother, Father"
Maggie Valley, Joshua Tyler Agustin Lopez, age 19, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Memorial Mission Hospital.
A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Agustin Lopez, Jr. and Melinda Haynes Franklin. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clyde Haynes; great-great grandma, Pauline Kirkpatrick; and uncle Ricky Haynes. Joshua was employed by Giles Chemical. He played football at Waynesville Middle School and was very athletic. Joshua was a great person to be around, and loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Joshua is survived by his father, Agustin Lopez, of Colorado; mother, Melinda Haynes (Robert Wilson) of Maggie Valley; grandmother, Bobbie Haynes; daughter, Aubrie Lopez; son, Jaidyn Lopez; mother of his children, Monika Wesley; six sisters, Halaey Vicknair (Josh), Cerena Lopez, Cindalynn Hatton, Kisha Hall (Mike), Ashlea Wilson, and Kim Jenkins; four brothers, Chris Franklin, A.J. Perez, Chris Crawford, and Tyler Wilson; aunt, Loretta Haynes; and great-aunt, Martha Haney.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2017 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Billy Ferguson and Reverend Ronald Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Keenersville Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
