Joshua Earl Hampton, 31, of Buncombe County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, at Atrium Health Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Born on April 18, 1994, in Buncombe County, Joshua lived a life marked by devotion to his family, a strong work ethic, and a kind-hearted nature that touched everyone he met.

Joshua was preceded in death by his grandparents, Papaw John Hampton and Mamaw Dot Hampton; Papaw Fred Nicholson; and his great-grandfather, Hardin Nicholson; a beloved preacher.

Joshua worked as an operator in the towing industry, where he was respected for his dedication, reliability, and willingness to help whether on or off the job. Over the last 4.5 years, he built strong connections with coworkers and community members alike. Outside of work, he loved fishing with his Papaw Fred, spending peaceful time with his family at Lake Junaluska, and creating cherished memories.

Above all, Joshua’s greatest joy in life was his daughter, Paisley Grace Hampton, who he lovingly referred to as his pride and joy. Every moment he spent with Paisley was filled with laughter, warmth, and unconditional love.

Joshua is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Kimberly Hampton; his precious daughter, Paisley Grace Hampton; his mother, Stephanie Nicholson (Steve Westmoreland); his father Kenneth Earl Hampton; his brothers, Jason Hampton and Kevin Stiles (Lauren); his Aunt JoAnn Nicholson and Johnny Nicholson; his mother-in-law, Sheila Gaddis; and father in law Steve, and nephew Ryan Stiles. He also leaves behind his grandmother, Eleanor Shelley, along with many extended family members.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Balsam Baptist Church; for their steadfast support. Special appreciation is also given to Joshua’s cherished friends: Corey Messer, “Batman”, Anthony Herman, Kevin Blomeier, Sarina Carpenter, Rachael Pickett, Cody Allen, Connie Kelly, Angelic Myers, and Kelsie Easley, who stood by him through life’s greatest moments and challenges.

Joshua will be remembered for his love for the simple joys of life, and the deep devotion he held for his family—especially his daughter. His legacy will live through every memory shared and every life he touched.
