Waynesville, Joseph Francis Christopher, 88, of Waynesville passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at The Homestead. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen Rose Christopher; daughter, Tracey Christopher; special niece, Patricia Christopher, of Sebring, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017, at Green Hill Cemetery with Reverend Patrick Womack, nephew of Mr. Christopher, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haywood Animal Welfare Association (HAWA), P.O. Box 992, Waynesville, NC 28786.
