Joretta Jaquins

Joretta S. Jaquins, a long-time resident of Asheville, North Carolina, died Tuesday February 7th at the Elizabeth House.
Born in 1937 in Kingsport, T.N. Joretta received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1989. She continued her education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from which she received her Masters of Science in Nursing in 1994. Joretta served 40 years as a nurse caring for the mentally ill and veterans of war.
She is survived by her three children, James O.Allen Jaquins of Morganton, N.C. Audrea Jaquins Tygh of Charlotte, N.C. and Andrea Jaquins-Gerstl of Pittsburgh, P.A. her brother David Keith Smith of Kingsport, T.N., and four grandchildren.
