Johnny Kuykendall

Johnny Earl Kuykendall, age 68, of 282 Luther Road died Monday, December 25, 2006 at his residence.

He was a native of Haywood County and the son of the late Joseph and Eva Haney Kuykendall. He was a self-employed carpet intstaller and a United States Army veteran serving in the Korean conflict.

In addition to his wife of 17 years, Karen Clark Kuykendall, he is survived by a daughter, Cindy Worley of Greenville, SC; four sons, Dale Kuykendall of Mt. Olive, NC, Mark Kuykendall of Modesto, CA, John Kuykendall, II of Greenville, SC, and Kevin Kuykendall of Greenville, SC; two stepsons, Joseph and Nick Ingle both of Concord; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2006, at the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend James "Bud" Gibson officiating.
