Johnnie Pitts

Waynesville-Johnnie Warren Pitts, age 81, of Harris Street, died Monday, October 20, 2003 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Nannie Rutherford Warren.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William ''Bill'' Pitts; a son, Gerald Pitts, and his wife, Vivian, of Waynesville; one brother, Jackie Ray Warren, of Candler; and two grandchildren, Patrick and Jennifer Pitts.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2003 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Don Letzring and Reverend Tony McCall officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony McCall, Mike Byrd, John and Melvin Allen and Brandon and Brian Burnette.
