John Joseph Whalen's Obituary
John Joseph Whalen, 80, of Waynesville, NC, passed away peacefully at Haywood Regional Medical Center on Friday, September 11, 2026. He was born in Portage County, OH, on March 15, 1946, to beloved parents, John and Frances (Carroll) Whalen.
A Memorial Service will be held in John's honor at Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
The care of Mr. Whalen has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
