John E. Turner, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023, at the age of 73.

Born on March 7, 1950, in Philadelphia, PA, John was known for his kind heart and his unwavering love for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

John was a man of many interests and hobbies. An avid reader and collector, he enjoyed immersing himself in the worlds of books and music. His collection of model cars and coins was a testament to his passion for detail and craftsmanship. Furthermore, John's adventurous spirit led him to travel far and wide, exploring new places and cultures. In particular, he found solace in day trips to the mountains, where he could soak in the beauty of nature.

In addition to his personal pursuits, John dedicated his life to service. He proudly served in the United States Army, demonstrating both valor and dedication during his time there. Moreover, he was an active member of various organizations throughout his life. Notably, John was a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), where he found camaraderie among fellow enthusiasts.

Although John faced numerous medical challenges throughout his life, he approached each obstacle with bravery and resilience. His unwavering determination inspired those around him as he fought against adversity.

John is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sally Turner; their son, John W. Turner (Alexandra Luchkowec Turner); and one faithful companion – Bandit the dog. He is predeceased by his father John A. Turner and mother Mary J. Turner.

John E. Turner's legacy is marked by love, compassion, and a zest for life that remains an inspiration to his family and friends as they navigate this difficult loss. His memory will forever live on in their hearts.

In honor of John's life, a memorial service will be held on a later date. Friends and family are encouraged to come together to celebrate the incredible life he lived and the impact he made.

May John E. Turner rest in eternal peace, knowing that his contributions, his love, and his spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
