Waynesville, John Thomas Starr, age 85, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville.
A native of Baldwin, New York, he was the son of the late John and Ruth Ashdown Starr and was also preceded in death by a son, Russell Starr, and one brother, George Starr.
John is survived by a daughter, Helena Groh (Richard); a grandson, Richard Groh; and special friend, Marilyn Cowan.
No services are planned.
