John Searcy

Hendersonville – John Michael Searcy passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at his residence.

John was a native of Buncombe County and the son of the late John Croland and Rosa Lee McAbee Searcy. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister, Diana House. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from UNC Asheville and was the proud owner and operator of Wizards Cable. John was also a talented short story writer and artist.

He is survived by four sisters, Carolyn Russell of Black Mountain, Glenda Michaels and husband Arthur of Enka, Sheila Fender of Asheville, and Sue Jantt of Hendersonville; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.

Per Mr. Searcy’s wishes no service will be held and burial will be private.
