Obituary

John “Jack” Richard Osborn, 80, of Clyde, passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday, May 14, 2026. He was born in San Diego, CA to the late Marvin and Dorthia Schleyer Osborn. While serving in the U.S. Army during Viet Nam, John achieved the rank of E-5 Aircraft (Helicopter) Crew Commander. For over 45 years he worked for Achlor Systems.

Jack loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. A man with gifted hands, he was able to restore old cars and tractors. His love of old cars often led to him going down the road to the car cruise-in and visiting auctions. He listened to music from the 50’s and 60’s and enjoyed seeing his hummingbirds.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Nathan Keith Osborn.

He is survived by his sons, Gregory Osborn, Bryan (Amyi) Osborn, and Christopher Osborn; partner of 19 years, Judy Wood; grandchildren, Emma Grace and Joshua; great grandchildren, Serenity and McKinley and former wife, Gail Osborn.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 30th at Upper Crabtree Community Cemetery.

The care of Mr. Osborn has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
