JOHN T. MORROW

Waynesville-John T. Morrow, age 93, of 190 John Morrow Road died Wednesday morning, September 11, 2002, at his residence.

A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late William Crayton and Mattie Treadway Morrow. He retired from American Enka with 41 years service and was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesville.

He is survived by a daughter, Nancy Moody, of Waynesville; a son, Perry Morrow and his wife, Sandra, of Waynesville; three sisters, Ada Bradshaw, and Mae Burr Davis, both of Waynesville and French Moore, of Greenville, TN; six grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and caregivers, Monica Stevens, Richard and Linda Rathbone, Janice Rathbone, and Ann Hall.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2002 in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Waynesville with Reverend Dr. Charles Horton officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Allen Morrow, Will Morrow, Jamie Ramm, David Cook, Tommy Morrow, Billy Allison, Grover Bradshaw, and Tom McCracken. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
