John Moro

Maggie Valley, John Anthony Moro, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Mission Memorial Campus.

A native of Texas and resident of Haywood County for 13 years, he was the son of the late John and Betty Moro.  John received his bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University in Accounting.  He retired from Exxon Mobile as an accountant in 2008.  John enjoyed golfing, hiking, traveling the world, and helping others.  He was a member of Maggie Valley Club and Resort.

John is survived by his wife of two years, Nancy L. Moro; two daughters, Kristin Moro-Coleman and Megan Moro; stepdaughter, Deborah Judge; and brother, Richard Moro, and his wife, Teresa, of Houston, Texas.

No formal services are planned.

The care of Mr. Moro has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
