John Metcalf

John 'JD' Davis Metcalf III, 63, of Candler, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of John Davis Metcalf, Jr. and MaryLou Birch. JD was a retired machinist from Alliance of Carolina Tool & Dye, Fletcher. He enjoyed camping, fishing and riding his motorcycle.
JD is preceded in death by his father and sister, Constance "Connie" Rose Griffin.
He is survived by his mother, MaryLou Birch Metcalf; daughter, Tracey (Steve) McCaskill of Pittsboro, NC and granddaughter, Ashley McCaskill.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
