John Janosek

John Mark Janosek, age 75, died on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Mission Hospitals – St. Joseph Campus. A native of Hennepin County, Minnesota, he was the son of Gladys Holmquist Janosek and the late John Mark Janosek. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara. John served as a missionary in Africa for 40 years and was a member of the Living Savior Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Smith Janosek; five daughters and their husbands, Lori Janosek (Don Boomsma), Tanya Schuette (Keith), Nicole Burkhardt (Steve), Alexandra Janosek (E. John Fredrich), and Kirsten Janosek-Albright (Jordan); a brother, Donald Janosek of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and seven grandchildren, John, James, Kristina, and Annalisa Schuette; Sean Janosek, Eleora Fredrich, and baby Janosek-Albright. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at the Living Savior Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
