John Medford

Cove Creek Community, John Hugh Medford, age 87, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019.

A native of Haywood County, born on May, 18, 1932, he was a son of the late Roger Manson and Esther Boyd Medford.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Boyd Medford.  He was a graduate of Waynesville Township High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  John retired from Champion International after many years of faithful service.

John is survived by his wife, Martha Thibodeau Medford; son, Robert Medford (Wanda); daughter, Twila Medford; stepchildren, Lynn Gardner (Wes), David Thibodeau (Ginny), Jeff Thibodeau (Stephanie), and their families.

A private service will be held at a later date.

The care of Mr. Medford has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
