John R. Cullen

Maggie Valley, John Rowland Cullen, age 78, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023 at his home.

A native of New York, he was a son of the late Edward Cullen and Margaret Wilde Cullen.  He was preceded in death by his dear son, Kenneth Cullen; sister, Veronica; and brothers, Jimmy and Edward.

John proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.  He enjoyed a long, successful career of 40 years as an engineer with Grumman Aerospace Corporation.  He was a member of St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

John is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patricia Moran Cullen; daughter, Nancy; son, Kevin; three stepchildren, Jimmy, Gail, and Blythe; and four step-grandchildren, Jessica, Emma, Cody, and Michael.

A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
