Joel Henderson

Canton - Joel B. "Barney" Henderson, age 58, died Thursday, August 23, 2007 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Haywood County and had lived most of his life there. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burl and Frances Fish Henderson; three sisters, Kay Anderson, Judy Smith, and Becky Surrett. Joel was a 1968 graduate of Pisgah High School and a former member of the Haywood Jaycees. He loved to trout fish and play his guitar. He is survived by his wife, Paula Allen Henderson; three daughters, Holly and Christina Haney, and Wendy Penland all of Canton; one sister, Beth Henderson of Church Hill, TN; several nieces and nephews including, Joey Anderson and Debora Buckner.
