Joe Stanley Kilgore

Maggie Valley, NC, Joe Stanley Kilgore, 69, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at his residence.

Born in Anniston, Alabama, he was the son of the late Joe and Peggy Dean Kilgore.

Joe was the proud owner of the restaurant Butts On The Creek in Maggie Valley.  He loved the outdoors.  He did a lot of fishing and hunting with his dad in his younger years.  Joe was a true Alabama Football fan.

He is survived by two sisters, Sheree Kilgore and Christine Kilgore.  Also survived by close friends, Mark Walley, Birch & Dina Birch, and Rodney Cauthen, and several relatives in Alabama.

A gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.  A memorial service will be held at a later date in Alabama.
