Joe Hall

Canton - Joe Howard Hall, 85, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at his residence.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Alfred Dillard and Bonnie Mae Scott Hall.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Katrina Marie Hall Parrott and a sister, Shirley Hall Fish.

He retired from Alliance Carolina Tool & Mold in Arden with 29 years of service.  Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars and was an excellent community handyman.  He was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church and a United States Navy veteran.

In addition to his wife of 61 years, Wanda Crawford Hall, he is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Hall Howell (Keith) of Minot, North Dakota; a sister, Nancy Hall Watson of Canton; two grandchildren, Nicole Powell Jamison (Matthew) and Brent Powell of Canton; and three great-grandchildren, Anna and Cameron Powell and Connor Jamison; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Beaverdam Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
